The Story
Rick Kingo is a Danish singer-songwriter who has been writing songs since the age of 15.
In his early years as a musician, he performed with a number of bands before founding Caper Clowns in 2010 alongside his childhood friends.
Together, they wrote, recorded, and produced songs for four albums and one EP. As the band’s frontman, Rick Kingo has been a driving force behind Caper Clowns’ music. Since 2015, several of the band’s singles have received airplay on Danish national radio as well as radio stations internationally, helping to establish Caper Clowns beyond Denmark.
In 2022, Rick Kingo began developing his solo material and released his debut EP in 2023, which was followed by a small tour in the UK.
A move to Vancouver in 2024 opened new opportunities, including touring Canada and the United States, collaborating and releasing a single with American singer-songwriter Cherry Fez, and joining the Vancouver-based band The Shady Shadows as their bass player.
In 2025, a focus on his own songwriting led Rick Kingo back to Denmark, where he began recording material for a new solo EP scheduled for release in early 2027.
That same year, Rick Kingo co-founded With Radiant Action. The intercontinental band has since released its debut EP, with one of its singles receiving airplay on Danish national radio as well as radio stations around the world.
